Wellington Foods is committed to quality.
Quality is the most important characteristic a product can possess. It defines both the product and the brand whose name it carries. Quality cannot be replaced by potency or effectiveness, and without Quality all other product traits are meaningless.
At Wellington Foods, we understand the value of producing consistent quality products. We know that the products we produce for our customers represent their brand and carry their name. We are producing not just a product, but a brand image. We take this responsibility very seriously.
Our Quality System starts by understanding our customers and their products. To ensure that the products we produce meet all requirements for dietary supplements, our Quality team must have complete knowledge of the regulatory environment and its impact on ingredients, labeling, testing and shelf life.
As a manufacturer of dietary supplements, Wellington Foods is regulated by the 21CFR Part 111 and 117. This section of the Food and Drug Administration’s regulation governs Current Good Manufacturing Practice in Manufacturing, Packaging, Labeling, or Holding Operations for Dietary Supplements. It contains specific requirements for all aspects of our operation.
The goal of this regulation is to ensure that dietary supplements which are sold to consumers are safe and produced in adherence to high quality standards. It stresses process control, testing, documentation and training. It is said that the three most important parts of the regulation are testing, testing and testing. It requires testing to confirm the identity, purity, potency and composition of raw materials. It requires process control and testing during production, and it requires testing of finished product. These steps help insure that your finished product always meets your consumer’s high quality standards.
Wellington Foods has invested heavily in our Quality Systems so that we can deliver our customers the highest quality finished products.
We are proud of our Quality programs and invite you schedule a time to visit our facility and discuss our Quality System’s role in the production of your product.
